Bug Bounty Programme

Found a bug? Get paid.

We believe in building Savvy Chef together with our community. If you spot a bug, a recipe issue, or have an improvement we accept — we'll pay you for it.

What's worth reporting?

Three categories of issues — all rewarded when accepted.

App Bugs

Crashes, broken features, UI glitches, incorrect behaviour, or anything that stops the app working as expected.

50p per accepted bug
Up to £10 per submission

Recipe Issues

Wrong ingredients, inaccurate quantities, incorrect instructions, bad nutrition data, or missing allergen information in any of our public recipes.

50p per accepted issue
Up to £10 per submission

Accepted Improvements

Suggested improvements that we decide to implement. Not every suggestion qualifies — only those we accept and ship count towards the bounty.

50p per accepted improvement
Up to £10 per submission

Ethical Hackers Welcome

Security vulnerabilities are handled separately and rewarded on a case-by-case basis depending on severity. If you've found something serious, we want to hear from you — and we'll make it worth your while.

How it works

Simple process, quick reward.

1

Find something worth reporting

Use the app normally — or dig deeper if you like. Bugs, recipe errors, and accepted improvements all qualify. For security issues, please disclose responsibly.

2

Submit your report via the contact form

Use the contact page and select "Bug Report" as the category. Include as much detail as possible — steps to reproduce, the recipe name, screenshots, or a description of what you'd like to see improved.

3

We review and confirm

We'll assess your report and let you know if it qualifies. Only issues we agree are genuine bugs, real recipe errors, or improvements we choose to implement will count.

4

Earn your bounty

Once accepted, we'll arrange payment. 50p per accepted item, up to £10 per submission. Security bounties are agreed individually based on severity.

Terms & Conditions

First come, first served

The bounty is awarded to the first person to submit a valid report for a given issue. Duplicate submissions for the same bug or issue will not receive a separate reward.

We decide what qualifies

Savvy Labs has sole discretion over whether a reported issue is accepted as a genuine bug, recipe error, or improvement. Not all reports will qualify. We'll always explain our reasoning.

£10 submission cap

Each submission is capped at £10 (20 accepted items at 50p each). This cap exists so we can fix issues before continued testing potentially introduces new ones through the same fixes. Once we've resolved a batch, the programme continues as normal.

Security vulnerabilities — separate process

Security issues are handled outside of the standard 50p-per-item framework. Rewards are negotiated individually based on the nature and severity of the vulnerability. We ask that you do not publicly disclose security issues before giving us time to address them.

Good faith required

All submissions must be made in good faith. Attempts to manufacture bugs, deliberately break features to claim a reward, or submit the same issue multiple times will result in disqualification.

Savvy Labs reserves the right to modify or end the programme

We may update these terms or pause/end the bug bounty programme at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Reports submitted before any changes will be honoured under the terms in place at the time of submission.
