Hang in there while we get back on track
Built by home cooks, for home cooks. We're on a mission to take the stress out of meal planning.
It all started because I was sick of the mental load of grocery shopping.
I wanted to be "that girl" who eats home-cooked meals every night — the kind of person who has a plan, eats well, and makes it look effortless. So I sat down one Sunday, wrote out a meal plan for the week, and then wrote out every single ingredient I needed to buy.
It took me hours. Every. Single. Week.
Flicking between recipe tabs, cross-referencing what was already in the cupboard, trying to remember if I had enough paprika or whether that tin of chickpeas was still in date. The mental load was exhausting — and I hadn't even started cooking yet.
So I built an app to do it for me.
What started as a personal project to save my own sanity slowly grew into something bigger. First came recipe importing — paste a URL and done. Then meal planning with automatic shopping lists. Then pantry tracking so I'd stop buying things I already had. Each feature was born from a real frustration, designed to save a little more time and a little more money each week.
Today, Savvy Chef is used by over 1,000 home cooks who are done with the meal planning headache. And we're just getting started.
