Instructions
Peel, core, and slice the pears.
Add pear slices to a saucepan with a little water, cinnamon stick, star anise, and honey.
Simmer gently for 8–10 minutes until pears are tender and lightly glazed.
In a separate saucepan, bring whole milk to a gentle simmer.
Stir in oats and a pinch of salt, cooking for 6–8 minutes until creamy.
Remove spices from the pears and discard.
Divide oatmeal between bowls and top with spiced pears.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans and drizzle with extra honey before serving.
