Instructions
Season chicken pieces with salt, paprika, and black pepper.
Soak the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
In a bowl, mix plain flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge thoroughly in the seasoned flour.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 170–175°C (340–350°F).
Fry chicken in batches for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Meanwhile, fry potatoes in hot oil until golden and crisp.
Season fries with salt and serve immediately with the chicken.
