Spaghetti Bolognese
-
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium heat.
-
Add chopped onions, garlic, and carrots, and sauté until softened.
-
Add the minced beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
-
Stir in the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, and a splash of red wine (optional).
-
Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 25-30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
-
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in salted boiling water.
-
Once the sauce has thickened, taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
-
Drain the spaghetti and divide it between plates. Top with the Bolognese sauce.
-
Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve hot.
