Beef and Vegetable Pilaf

Beef Mince Brown Onion Garlic Clove Basmati Rice Green Beans Tomatoes Beef Stock Chilli Flakes Mango Chutney Rogan Josh Paste
  • Bring a pot of water to boil. Add 50g of Basmati rice, bring to boil and then reduce to medium heat and cook for 12 minutes.

  • Dice one onion and two garlic cloves. Trim 50g of green beans.

  • When the rice has 5 minutes remaining, add the green beans.

  • Heat a frying pan on high. Once hot, fry the onion until golden and then add 250g of beef mince. Cook for 5 minutes or until browned.

  • Reduce the heat and add the garlic, rogan josh paste, and chilli flakes. Fry for 1 minute.

  • Add 100ml of water, beef stock, and two diced tomatoes. Simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened. Combine the rice and beef mixture and stir until evenly mixed.

  • Split the pilaf between two bowls and top with a tablespoon of mango chutney each.
