Honey Soy Paneer with Rice
-
Cook 200 grams of rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork after cooking and keep warm.
-
Cut 400 grams of paneer into cubes. In a bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of honey to create the marinade.
-
Toss the paneer cubes in the marinade and let sit for 15 minutes.
-
Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes, reserving the excess marinade. Fry until golden on all sides, then set aside.
-
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil if needed. Sauté 1 diced bell pepper and 1 diced red onion until just tender.
-
Return the paneer to the pan with the vegetables. Pour in the reserved marinade and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Serve the honey soy paneer over the cooked rice. Garnish with thinly sliced red chili and chopped spring onions.
