Mediterranean Falafel Pita

Chickpeas Brown Onion Garlic Clove Lemon Juice Ground Cumin Fresh Coriander Plain Flour Pitta Breads Houmous Iceberg Lettuce Tomatoes Cucumber Tzatziki
  • Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees

  • Make the falafel mix by combining the chickpeas, onion, garlic, lemon juice, oil, cumin, coriander, and salt in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

  • Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour. Mix until well combined.

  • Form the mixture into small balls and flatten them slightly to form patties.

  • Place the patties on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Turn half way.

  • Toast the pitta bread.

  • Thinly slice the tomato and cucumber.

  • Spread the hummus on the bottom of the bread, add a layer of lettuce, add the falafel, them top with the cucumber, tomato and tzatziki.
